Handwriting: Mm. Can be practiced in small handwriting book sent home. Find a storybook and go on an ‘m hunt’. Write the words with m in them in your best handwriting. Only do one letter a day for handwriting.

Test and Games
Writing informally and for pleasure is really important, and could be done daily in the form of a diary (Juniors can draw a picture and label it).

The children can do their own free writing or use the template linked below.

Ceacht 6 agus cluichí and/or:

Play a listening game (as in the video above). You say “Cuir x ar an mbord.” and your child follows the instructions. Swap and allow them to give the directions too.  

Play Cluiche Kim with objects from the kitchen (e.g. put out scian, forc, im, pláta. Go through each one. Child closes their eyes while to remove one and they say which one is missing).

L.62 or draw a picture of a table and label the different objects.

L63. Go through the different animals and the sounds they make (the rann is good if you have downloaded the Bua na Cainte programme).  Practice saying Tá ____ agam (I have ___). This can be used informally with the new vocab from yesterday too (e.g. tá arán agam).

Draw a picture of the different animals eating their food. Label pictures as Gaeilge.
