Juniors/Seniors: Addition
When learning to add, it is important that
young children can practice with real materials to consolidate learning. Give
your child pieces of pasta, lego blocks, pencils etc. to combine together to
figure out the answer to sums if they need them. For each day, I have an online
game and a worksheet for you to do or to choose from.

workbook activities
Wednesday: https://mrnussbaum.com/fun-regrouping-in-addition-games-from-computermice (it might help to write the sums out on a page before putting in
answers. Type in the answer to go under the units first and the game will
rename the ten for you, i.e. if the answer is 12, type 2 into the box and the 1
ten will be brought up to the tens column for you). Wbook pg117
Thursday: https://www.mathplayground.com/mathman_addition.html (more challenging game! If it’s too hard, replay one from Mon-Wed or
do Splash Maths) Wbook pg118

work for our classroom blog on Friday.

Any questions, let me know!
Remember, this is not a to-do list of work, just suggestions!
