Creative Writing
|
Writing informally and for pleasure is really important, and could be
done daily in the form of a diary (Juniors can draw a picture and label it).
As our Creative Challenge this week is a Bake Off, it is a good opportunity
to revise procedural writing.
Video for procedural writing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvGeBcfysDo
Discuss the different words we use in procedural writing, and the different
sections. Look at a recipe and find the title, what you need (ingredients)
and what to do (method). Get your child to write their own procedural writing
for a recipe
Template: https://www.twinkl.ie/resource/t-t-18355-writing-instructions-recipe
(Juniors can draw the steps or maybe write a word or two of each step and you
write the rest)

Notes:
·
Include time for play every day! It
is the most important part of a child’s learning!
·
Send in pictures/videos of your
work for our classroom blog on Friday.
Any questions, let me know! Remember, this is not a to-do list of work, just suggestions!
