Maths stations were a little bit different today! We are learning about weight at the minute so we did some fun and active learning today about it! There were two stations and everyone got a turn at each one.
One group stayed in the classroom and used the balance scales to measure and weigh objects in the room. We estimated and counted how many cubes it would take to balance the objects and recorded our work in the Senior Infant workbooks.
We counted out much treasure it would take to sink our pirate ship.
The other group went to the staff room with Bernie and did some baking! They put two eggs on the weighing scales and checked what weight they were. Then they had to measure the other ingredients to the same amount! It was very fun, and the buns they made were very yummy!
