Festive Friday
Festive Fridays are back for the Toy Show today!!!
During STEM Stations the children had to work together to design and build a sturdy Christmas tree out of paper cups. It also had to hold baubles. The children also made some snowmen with Ms. Mollison who is in our classroom for the next couple of weeks! There was a festive game on the laptops too. Later on in the day, we had great fun designing and creating Christmas jumpers for Ryan on the Toy Show tonight!
Have a great weekend 🎅🎄🤶

STEM Stations
We made the most of the sunshine last Friday and took our STEM Stations outside!
The children made 2D shapes from sticks and stones for Maths.
They drew around their bodies with chalk and labelled/named different body parts for Science.
The children had previously begun making boats with our Creation Station materials and on Friday they tested their boats to see if they would float and how many stones they could carry! This was a fun way to do engineering, science, maths and develop problem solving skills, creative thinking, motor skills and much more!!!
We are so lucky to have Mr. Larke, Ms. Kilrane and Bernie for STEM Stations!!

First Week Fun :)
Well done on a great first week back everyone!
We did a lot of playtime this week! It is the best way for children to learn about and explore their new environment and classmates.
Working on scissor skills.
We do STEM Stations on a Friday (STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Junior Infants were brilliant on the laptops:
Mr. Larke visited us for STEM Stations! The Senior Infants built a tower the same height as him!
Our new water play area is fantastic!

Plants
We have begun learning about plants this week! During Aistear, everyone got a chance to plant some lovely vegetables. We also have a Garden Centre in the role play area and the children all made some seed packets to sell with a list of what their seeds need to grow on the back! We're so excited to learn more about plants and other life cycles during the month!
We also had great fun during STEM Stations on Friday! We did some printing using different parts of flowers, playing engineering games online and set up shops in our pods to practice using money (our Maths topic at the moment):
Finally, here are the children doing an AMAZING job during Gaeilge on Friday. They had to follow instructions as Gaeilge to draw and colour their teach, then they either labelled the parts of the house or wrote sentences about it. Dochreidte!! 🤩
